Tim Nicoloff a native of Lorain, Ohio is a lifelong musician who joined his first band, The Perswayders at age 15.A drummer since age 7, Tim won several musical honors in high school, which persuaded him to pursue musical goals while he attended college at Ohio State. He played drums in the prestigious Ohio State Jazz Ensemble as a junior and senior. The award winning group was invited to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1975.

During his time at Ohio State Tim performed with many jazz greats including saxophonists Art Pepper and Sonny Stitt, trombonist Bill Watrous, and jazz composer Chuck Mangione, He was also drummer for the Sammy Kaye Orchestra and the Jimmy Dorsey Band.

 

Upon his graduation he led his own show group Suite Dreams, which performed throughout the Midwest and South, until he relocated to Los Angeles. It was there where he joined Gary Lewis and the Playboys, touring with them in 1981-82. He continued to work with LA bands both original and cover before moving to Las Vegas.


Tim toured with bands Lip Service and the Spiral Starecase since arriving in Las Vegas. He also was drummer for American Superstars in Laughlin, NV in the 90’s. He has performed with many Las Vegas headliners including Rich Little and the late Redd Foxx. Because of his eclectic musical experience, Tim is a perfect fit to lay down the grooves whether they’re performing Sinatra, Shania Twain or the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
